Riverside to Host SBA Faith-Based Small Business Summit
On Thursday, October 11th, Riverside will host the 5th Annual SBA Faith-Based Small Business Summit.
This exciting opportunity is open to business owners and non-profit organizations at all stages. Learn from experts, speakers and panelists committed to business growth and take advantage of workshops and one-on-one opportunities with lenders, SBA leaders and resource partners. In addition, Keynote speaker Jerry Flavin from the SBA's White House Office on Faith-Based Programs and Neighborhood Partnerships will provide an update from Washington DC. (Read more...)

New Bill Passed to Protect Small Business from Fraudulent "Shakedown" Letters
It is an unfortunate reality that small businesses throughout the state, including some here in Riverside, have been the victims of shakedown letters and lawsuits by unscrupulous attorneys, under the guise of disability access. In most instances, the letters are generated from a drive-by, not good-faith patronage of the business where barriers to access are confronted by a person with a disability. Please be advised that on September 19, 2012, Governor Brown signed Senate Bill 1186, a Disability Access Reform Bill. (Read more...) |

 The transaction is noted as one of Inland Southern California's largest investment deals in 10 years
