Hello to all our friends and partners........
Donnia and I are in Cochabamba, Bolivia and will be until the 22nd of this month. Then we will go back to Arequipa, Peru for 3 weeks to say "see you later" to all our friends there.
It will be a bitter-sweet time as we leave what has been our home for only 7 months but seems as though we have lived there for much longer. We will miss our friends, that is true, but we will be going back from time to time to Peru as it is only about 19 hours from Bolivia by bus.
We will be moving to Bolivia November 19th. Donnia and I will be working at RHEMA Bolivia. Donnia will be helping with the administration work as well as starting a school teaching English to anyone who wants to sign up for the classes. It appears the intest is great as she already has a good number of students waiting.
We have been very busy since we landed in Bolivia. I have been preaching in local churches and teaching at RHEMA and speaking at leaders meetings. We have seen people saved and healed and Pastors encouraged in their ministry.
During my and Donnia's time here I preached at a local AG Church. First on a Saturday night for their world missions service and two came up to receive Jesus. Then on the Sunday morning service three came to receive the Lord! It is very exciting to see new people come to the Lord. One of the leaders of the AG Church was a very energetic man named Samuel. He is just full of God's love. He and his wife are from Brazil. (more about Samuel in a minute)
The students of RBTC Bolivia had a special night where they prepared a dinner and sold tickets and presented a drama and invited potential Rhema Bible Training Students to attend. This was to get others exposed to what RHEMA is all about and hopefully get some of them to be first year students for the 2012 school year.
Each dinner ticket had numbers on it. The tickets were drawn and the numbers were called out for people to come up on the platform and answer some questions in hopes of winning a full scholarship to RHEMA.
Samuel was one of them! This was a real surprise and he was very excited. The questions were asked and Samuel is going to be a first year student in 2012.
After the dinner I ask him how he first heard about RHEMA and he said "I read a book by Bro Hagin called - The Name of Jesus, and it changed my life".
You can buy this book from our bookstore online at AMI. If you don't see the book you are looking for please write to us and we can help you.
We have so enjoyed our stay here in Bolivia. We have been treated in the highest way by David and Violeta Larsson, and as you can see Donnia feels right at home.
The weather in Bolivia is wonderful and the people are so kind. We are really enjoying the food,
so we have began to walk every morning for about an hour and because we now have access to a gym we are going to start a regular exercise program. God just continues to bless us in every way.
