Scrip Orders Due
Aug 6th

Scrip is a great way to help fundraise, while making your regular weekly purchases.  Rather than writing a check or debit card, use Scrip and earn $$'s for our programs.

WATER NEEDED 

We are in need of bottled water to help keep our students hydrated during Band Camp. Please contact Diane and/or Melody in Food Services for more information.

MEETING on WEDS, July 18th at 7:00pm  
 
Our next Booster Meeting will take place THIS Wednesday in the Band Room at 7:00pm. The agenda includes discussion of our current financial condition and 2012-13 finances, fundraisers over the summer, plans for summer band camp, and other issues brought to the Board of Directors.
 
YOUR PARTICIPATION in our Instrumental Music Boosters helps ensure that YOUR STUDENT and others benefit from the work we do.

A HUGE THANK YOU to all of the parents and students that helped with the food services at the Aliso Viejo 4th of July Celebration. We had a great turn-out and hopefully, everyone had a great time together.
 
We don't have the final numbers in yet - but expect the event was a great fundraiser. (More on this at our Booster meeting on Wednesday evening.)

Headline IconVOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We're still in-need of volunteers for a number of key projects/committees:
 
Uniforms - we are in-need of volunteers to help with fitting and minor adjustments to uniforms during summer Band Camp.  Please contact Fran Finelt for more information. 

 

Volunteer Coordinator - Yes, we need a 'volunteer wrangler' to help manage our online database of Volunteers ... ensuring that we have enough people available for the various events and tasks we're working on, and that our Volunteers are kept informed of what needs doing. We've got a pretty cool system in-place and so many of the tools you need are already available. Contact John Donovan for more info.

 

Cow Chip Bingo - one of our most-important fundraising events of the year needs someone to manage this event. Bill Spivey did a fantastic job getting things organized ... now we need someone to spearhead the project. Please contact Bill directly for more information and what all is needed.

 

Asst. Treasurer - we are searching for a CPA or similarly-qualified individual to work with current Treasurer Greg Stone, who is in his final year with the organization ... with an eye towards assuming the Treasurer duties in the coming years. Our preference would be for someone that had the potential to serve for more than a single year - to help provide consistency to the budgeting and financial planning process.

 

Food Service - provides our food concession preparation and sales ... and is in-need of a few people to begin the transition of the Food Services management. Please contact our Food Services committee via email for more information. We could sure use your help!
