Sr. City Planner Tom Pace gets ideas for the Specific Plan from Task Force members Tim Lien, Walker and Donant (left), Eric Edelmayer, Jackson Properties and Ruth McElhenny, SMUD.
The Sacramento Center for Innovation (SCI) Task Force recently walked the 2-sq. mile area to see first hand what infrastructure improvements were needed. They were joined by City Planners with the Community Development Dept. Infrastructure improvements in this Specific Plan Area included everything from road widening, bike lanes, lighting and utility undergrounding.

The next step will be to estimate total costs ranging from all-inclusive to the bare minimum, and determining how they will be paid for based on priorities. The Task Force will consider all options, including floating bonds to forming an Infrastructure Assessment District. (AB 2144)
