Increasing business security and working closely with law enforcement will be the theme at the June 21 Security & Business Protection Faire & Mixer. Special guests include Sheriff Scott Jones, Deputy Chief Sam Somers, and Lt. Marc Coopwood in an interactive panel discussion on "Hardening the Target."

Waste-to-Energy Digester Breaks Ground
The nation's largest commercial Waste-to-Energy Digester begins construction; will fuel new renewable natural gas station in
the Power Inn Area.
Atlas Disposal Industries and Clean World Partners recently broke ground for California's first anaerobic digestive-based Renewable Natural Gas Fueling Station at the South Area Transfer Station near Fruitridge and Florin-Perkins Road.
It is also the nation's largest food-to-fuel recycling center, one of three new recycling centers proposed by Mayor Johnson's green initiative.
The Fruitridge location has been a long-unused transfer station and will now be home to new technology where collected food waste is turned into compost material and bio gas, making this a renewable cycle. (Read more...)
