Roger Niello to Address Alliance 18th Annual Awards Luncheon
Pride Industries Awarded PBID Clean-up Contract
Pride Industries
The Pride Industries clean-up crew will be highly visible throughout the Power Inn Area.  Give them a wave.
The annual contract for clean-up and illegal dumping removal has been awarded to Pride Industries of South Sacramento.  Pride, one of four contractors bidding on the job, provides meaningful jobs to individuals with disabilities.

The Clean-up Crew, with as many as eight team members wearing bright orange, will be seen throughout the Power Inn Alliance 6.2 sq. mile area on a daily basis loading illegally-dumped trash, tires, mattresses and appliances into their truck and trailer to take to the landfill. They also pick up miscellaneous debris along the roads. (In 2010 alone, over 22 tons of debris was removed from a much smaller area). Two crews of two or three are each under the direction of a supervisor.

While the Alliance, under terms of its PBID contract, can only remove debris from public areas, individual members can request pick up of illegally-dumped debris for a nominal fee. The Pride Industries team will also be responsible for landscape maintenance of the Bowtie at Power Inn Rd. and the railroad.

Lights and Cameras Catch Criminal Action Cold
Crime & Dine
When you can't be everywhere, let modern technology be your eyes and ears to thwart criminals in the act.

When it comes to catching thieves in the act, nothing beats technology.  Today, modern lighting and high resolution cameras help diminishing law enforcement resources identify and eventually nab thieves that pillage businesses for metal, tools and other property.

At the next Crime & Dine on February 16th, Steve Reed, the nationally-renowned director of security at Arden Fair Mall will present how an amazing surveillance system turned the mall's reputation as a thief-friendly haven into a national landmark for public safety. Reed, a former Sacramento police officer, has achieved widespread notoriety for his unique anti-crime measures, which he will share in detail.

Participants will see real mall surveillance videos that caught criminals otherwise missed and costing the mall millions. He will also share his belief that marketing and letting would-be thieves know the effectiveness of your security system.  Your enthusiasm for convictions will, in itself, deter much crime.  The event at Sacramento Recycling & Transfer Station is sponsored by Bank of Sacramento.  Registration may be done by visiting www.powerinn.org or Register for Crime & Dine Luncheon Thursday, February 16th
