Crime and Dine to Feature New Hi-Tech Crime Trends

Everyone's received those letters from a banker in Nigeria informing that there's $8 million waiting for you in his vault. That's old tech cyber crime. Hi-Tech criminals have become far more sophisticated in the past two years and can now drain your bank account with the precision of a mosquito draining your blood.

Learn what really happens and your chances of Hi-Tech robbery, plus how to protect yourself, at the next Crime & Dine Luncheon on Thursday, Sept. 22. at Sacramento Recycling and Transfer Station. Sponsored by Bank of Sacramento, Sacramento Sheriff Mike Menz, with the Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force, will go into detail about the nature and number of crimes today.

Also meet our new SPD Team: Capt. Ken Bernard, Lt. Bill Champion and Sgt. Marc Coopwood. Capt. Bernard replaces Capt. Dana Mathis and Lt. Champion is replacing Lt. Mike Bray, both of whom have worked closely with The Alliance for the past three years and are being promoted to other positions. We wish them well.
