The new Property-based Business Improvement District proposed for the Power Inn Area is almost twice the size of the original and will provide a 10% reduction in assessments. "When was the last time you were offered a 10% cut in taxes?" said Dain Domich, co-chairman of the Renewal Task Force.

Assessments rates, currenly $202.58 per acre per year, will drop to $182.32 in 2012. The savings are  possible, even while adding benefits, due to economies of scale. Among the benefits and improvements planned are: expanded trash and graffiti removal, landscaping maintenance, increased security and crime reduction programs, intensified business and job development, and continued advocacy for the business interests of Power Inn. 
 

Also, a new program will be Trans-portation, i.e. infrastructure expansion of key streets such as Ramona and 14th Ave,  road widening, better connectivity and transport efficiency throughout the area. Property owners will receive a petition to renew the PBID within the next
