Greetings!
We are happy to announce the start of our Interim Housing Program at Franciscan House. This program aims to help 14 men and women find housing in 120 days. During that time, they 'll learn life skills, receive intensive case management, and volunteer at our shelter. We'll provide follow up care after they are housed so that they are less likely to become homeless again. This program replaces our crew staff and transitional jobs program. General case management services are available to all other shelter guests who are not in this program. We kicked-off the program with a little party at the shelter on May 3.

Are you interested in sponsoring one of the program participants? We need caring persons to write a participant a letter of support, buy a few basic kitchen and bedroom supplies when they move out, and maybe attend a gathering at the shelter to show your support. Let me know if you're interested!

We'll be honoring
- retiring board member Marianne Flesher whose been with Franciscan Outreach almost since the beginning
- dedicated part-time volunteer Don Edwards, and
- the RUSH Community Services Initiative that has hosted the medical clinic at the shelter for 20 years.
