Greetings!
As 2010 comes to a close, we want to take this opportunity to extend our thanks to all of you who have in any way helped bring food, shelter, and one-on-one case management services to the homeless and poor of Chicago. You have made it possible for our brothers and sisters to have hope for the future, food to keep them alive, and a bed in which to have a safe night's sleep. Thank you for your compassion, concern, and self-less love. We'll have the numbers on meals, shelter nights, case management contacts, and turn-aways for you right after the first of the year. We'll also let you know where we are on the Keep Looking Up appeal and our efforts to hire a second case manager at the shelter. May each of you have a happy and safe 2011.

Meet Melvin and Jason... Melvin Reese and Jason Jones are two guests we're featuring on our next newsletter, which should be in your mailboxes in the next few days. . Melvin was a guest at our shelter and used to ride his bike all the way to Fox Valley for a job at McDonalds. He is still employed and doing great! Jason was homeless since he was 15 and had a serious drug problem. He has turned his life around and sees the world in a different light. Both are now housed and doing quite well. Look for their stories in our newsletter. If you aren't on our mailing list yet, email me at diana@franoutreach.org
