Dateline May 31st:
Last weekend, the GOOOH Florida team had the opportunity to meet many home education families that attended the FPEA Convention. We handed out over 1200 Constitutions and over 220 home educators signed up for more information about GOOOH in Florida. Two of our candidates were able to attend part of the event, and were inspired by all of the families that dropped by the booth to meet with them.
Byron Donalds, the GOOOH peer-selected candidate for Florida's 19th Congressional District, met with home educators on Friday afternoon. When asked about his experience at the FPEA Convention, he replied:
"I had a wonderful time at the FPEA convention. It was wonderful to see so many concerned parents, who have decided to take complete control of the education process for their children. I personally know several home-schooled children, and their intelligence and maturity is beyond their peers. This same level of parental involvment is going to be necessary when it comes to our politics, if we desire to have a mature and stable federal government. I was honored to be at this event, and look forward to returning in the future."

Darren Ayres, the GOOOH endorsed candidate for Florida's 13th Congressional District, also met with home educators at the FPEA Convention on Friday. When asked about his experience at the event, he replied: "Meeting families at the FPEA Convention was a highlight of my month. I was encouraged by the large number of patriots that are committed to educating their children on the truly important aspects of citizenship in the United States. Go parents!"
