Hello, Marco and SWFL Patriots:

We wish you, your families and friends a Happy Thanksgiving, and that on this uniquely American holiday,  you'll recall with pleasure and gratitude all the reasons we Americans have to be thankful!  Many of these reasons spring directly from our God-given natural rights, and the truly brilliant documents in which they were enshrined by our Founding Fathers.  

So, as you are saying "thanks," also take time to reflect on our responsibilities as citizens of this great republic.  We must do a better job of instilling our foundational values in our children and grandchildren, our neighbors and friends.  Our liberty is at great risk if we all don't understand that not only do we have rights but also real and serious responsibilities that we must exercise to preserve our great nation!

This is not about politics.  It is about our government continuing to indenture us with debt and handouts and suffocating the spirit of the individual by making more and more citizens dependent on the government for their subsistence.  It is about freedom and about you and me revisiting our moral compass and truly understanding the underpinnings of our constitution and the moral values upon which it was built -- and our responsibilities to preserve it.
