Greetings!
When NBC's Education Nation hosted a "Voices of the Nation" discussion with current and former students (including a high school dropout), here were some of their thoughts on education: - Every young person has a dream. Your job is to help bring us closer to our dreams.
- We need more than teachers. We need life coaches.
- The community should become more involved in schools.
- Even if you don't want to be a teacher, you can offer a student an apprenticeship.

| Evita and another job shadow student made splints for each other |
How early should you have a plan? For Evita Sanderson, 8th grade wasn't too early. She started exploring careers in class through Futures for Kids. Evita's natural curiosity and F4K's quizzes and career information helped her create a plan--a career as a Physical Therapist.
What does she like best about Physical Therapy? Working with people and the opportunity to help them regain their independence. After job shadowing, she has greater understanding of the challenges the patients face and is more excited than ever.
