Greetings!
Thanks to Futures for Kids, thousands of North Carolina high school seniors graduating next month have had the chance to create a career path specific to their interests and passions and to talk with someone who's seen it firsthand--someone like you. And F4K is helping dedicated educators like those at Ashley High School equip all our students to be lifelong learners.
Our Career Coaches are crucial in providing relevance, offering guidance and making the connection, so volunteer today!

| | Students use props to demonstrate the different learning styles | Spotlight on Student-Centered Teaching at Ashley High School
Using F4K to determine their students' learning styles has given Ashley High School in New Hanover County the chance to be proactive with their students. Instead of waiting for reports to see who is falling behind, the staff is able to see what their students are interested in and how they learn, individualizing instruction accordingly. They have also coordinated with the middle school next door to include 8th graders, helping students with the transition to high school and ensuring educators are prepared to reach their incoming freshmen.
