236 Years later We The People still celebrate this day. Sadly most Americans look at it as just another holiday. Just the mere fact that they can still celebrate the holiday without fear should be a reminder of just what this day in our history really means. Our forefathers wrote the Declaration of Independence to King George citing the reasons that they wanted freedom from his reign. They declared they wanted their rights to freedom and the pursuit of happiness as granted by their Creator and not the tyranny of man. Today, we Americans, are being attacked from all sides, from within and external, losing our rights and freedom piece by piece. No one can take the God-given rights from us. But we can give them away. With heavy heart I see this happening more and more each day. How many Independence Days do we have remaining?

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, July 10. ATPP and Pearland TEA Party are having a joint event at the Lion's Club, 3350 Hwy 35, Pearland beginning at 6:00 pm. BBQ sandwiches, water and soda will be available for a donation until 6:30 pm.
We have confirmed Felicia Harris (candidate for US Representative CD 14), Dr. Robin Armstrong (Texas' National Committeeman), Greg Parker (candidate for Railroad Commissioner, unexpired term), Lela Pittenger (former candidate for US Senate) will speak on behalf of Ted Cruz (candidate for US Senate) and Travis Hagler (local geologist) will speak on "Global Deception and Water Conservation".
