Dear friends,
Our market vendors, Dan McManus and Tess Parker of Common Hands Farm were part of a well attended lively discussion held Wednesday night at the Philmont Public Library for the opening of the "Journeys into Farming" exhibition organized by the Hawthorne Valley Farmscape Ecology Program. What's the news? Farming in Columbia County is doing well with over 60 new farms added over the last decade. Visit the exhibition running until 8/13 or stop by the market to talk to your farmers.

PLEASE HELP THE MARKET to promote our low-income shopper services and EBT services on site. Please tell a neighbor or a friend you know who receives food stamps or WIC or who qualifies for SENIOR MARKET COUPONS. We need to see an increase in patronage to keep these services in place for next season - we have 3 months to do this before the market ends for the season. Your help would truly be a benefit to the market and our farmers!
