Dear friends,
Access to fresh local food in Philmont just became even more interesting and complex. If learning about how the weather is affecting the price of your food this month's cover article in Rolling Stone by Bill McKibben is a must read.

New Farmers exhibit - Philmont Library

If the question of food security, local sustainability, and new farming in Columbia County is important to you, there's an opportunity for you to meet new farmers at the Philmont Library Wednesday Aug 1st @ 6pm

Join the market farmer vendors, Dan McManus and Tess Parker of Common Hands Farm for this discussion with other local new farmers!

If the progress being made by the Collaboration Team to open the Philmont Market & Cafe Co-operative is a topic for you, visit their stand at the market to sign up for the Co-op newsletter to receive these updates.

Times are changing for access to fresh food in Philmont, that's for sure.

Market

What makes the Philmont Farmers' Market so sweet and so different? It's the Sunday village square, the market place, where ideas are shared and new friendships are made.
