| MCAA National Update for September 3, 2012 |
MCA OF CHICAGO SUPPORTS MCERF WITH "SEPTEMBER CHALLENGE"
The MCA of Chicago has announced that during the month of September it will match, dollar for dollar, the first $25,000 in pledges and contributions made to MCERF by MCAA affiliated associations and members (contractors and members of the Manufacturer/Supplier Council). In making the "challenge," MCA of Chicago President Kevin Condon noted that "MCERF has done tremendous work for the industry over the years. The work it's now involved in, with funding scholarships and internships, and underwriting so many student chapter activities...not to mention its industry research...and products like OPUS and the new guide on BIM and spatial coordination it's developing...we have to enable our Foundation to keep investing in our future." In thanking the MCA of Chicago for its continued support of the Foundation, MCERF President Bob Armistead expressed hope that this innovative "challenge" will enlist others within the MCAA family to step forward and make a September pledge or contribution to MCERF. For more information about the critical work MCERF is involved in, contact Dennis Langley (dlangley@mcaa.org).
