NNA News You Can Use
Nevada Nurses Association
May, 2012

Greetings!

I hope you had an opportunity to celebrate nursing last week. I attended the Northern Nevada Nurses of Achievement awards in Reno--700 in attendance! The IFNN Dinner/Dance in Las Vegas was also a big success.

I want to remind NNA members of the special NNA Meeting of the Members called for August 31 at 6:30 p.m. I know it's a lot to ask you to come out for a meeting, but there are important decisions to make which could have major impact on our organization, and our Board needs your input. Teresa Stone from the American Nurses Association Board of Directors will join us by teleconference for about 10 minutes to explain their thoughts, then the remainder of the meeting will be a town hall style meeting with your questions and discussion. Please try to attend. I will be sending another announcement with meeting locations and directions prior to the meeting. If you haven't already, please email me at imcmlrc@aol.com and let me know if you will be attending. There will be sites in Las Vegas and Reno, and rural areas can attend by teleconference. If you want to review the FAQ sheets about the proposed changes, email me, and I will send them to you directly.
