Greetings!
Happy New Year to everyone. 2011 is starting out to be an exciting year for NNA with energy and momentum.
The NNA Board Retreats will be held the latter half of January. Please email me if you have issues or suggestions you want any of the Boards to consider in their strategic planning, and I will forward it on.
Thank you to all of you who completed our recent survey. The information you provided will be very helpful as NNA plans for the upcoming years. Congratulations to Marianne Farrar and Laura Fillmore, winners of the participant drawing!
We are planning a feature, "What do nurses do?", for the next RNFormation, which will come out during Nurses Week. We invite you to submit 1-25 words describing what nurses do. Just send your answer to the question to me in a word document.

| Nurses Day at the Legislature |
The Legislative Session will be starting soon, and it is once again time for Nurses Day at the Legislature, which will be held March 7 at the Nevada Legislature in Carson City.
Be a part of the action as experts not only provide you with timely legislative news and information you seek, but also help to unlock your potential to be an influential part of Nevada political process. Learn to communicate effectively with those in power, hear success stories of nurses in action, see a behind-the-scenes look at the Nevada legislative building and its history, watch legislative committees and educate your individual legislators about health care issues closest to you and your daily life. For more information, visit our website at www.nvnurses.org. To register, send an email/text with your name, and phone number to Sandy Olguin, who will be coordinating the registration. Email: sandyolguin@live.com; phone: 775-530-6309 text/call (cell- Reno ) |

This excellent 5-page summary describes recent developments and changes under the Affordable Care Act and CHIPRA. Please email me if you want me to send you a copy.
ANCC is seeking nominations for its Board of Directors. They specifically need nominees with expertise in credentialing, international business, &/or technology. If you are an ANA member and interested in learning more, please email me. |
