NNA District 3 Survey Extended

NNA District 3 is conducting a survey of NNA members and other Nevada nurses to help in strategic planning for the next 2 years. If you have not completed the survey, it is available at http://survey.constantcontact.com/survey/a07e36f4wnhgh7werph/start

The deadline for completion of the survey has been extended to December 31. Two participants will receive $50 gift cards from Nordstom in a drawing on January 1.

The College of Southern Nevada is offering a Health I.T. Workforce training program designed to prepare workers in four roles that support the implementation of electronic health records (EHR).  The next class will begin on February 1, 2011, and is offered completely on-line.  Students will receive a Certificate of Completion and must complete the course work in six months or less.  Visit

Be a part of the National Conversation on Public Health and Chemical Exposures-register today to participate in the next WebDialogue! The next WebDialogue will take place on Jauary 5th and 6th. Through the WebDialogue, you can discuss the draft Action Agenda, learn from one another and form conclusions to share as part of the public comment  process. We invite you to review the Action Agenda, share ideas and comment on proposed actions. Your contributions to the WebDialogue will be summarized and shared with National Conversation Leadership Council members as they finalize the action agenda. 

 

 

The NIOSH sponsored  conference, "Prevention through Design (PtD)-a new way of doing business: report on the National Initiative," will be held on August 22 - 24, 2011 at the Omni Shoreham in Washington, DC.  The conference marks the mid-point of the PtD National Initiative; therefore, the objective of this event is to take stock of the Nation's progress in achieving the PtD goals.  You are invited to consider submitting abstracts to present the results of scientific research, research-to-practice, or a case study to be presented at the plenary and sector-based break-out sections.
