First and foremost, the success of MPYP is credited to you! Without your support and beliefs in the MBYP values, we would not be where we are today. MBYP is the fastest growing and most energetic networking group in all of Southern California.

As our term comes to an end we look back at another exciting year for MBYP!! From record setting events to improving the lives of people worldwide. Through your support MBYP was able to donate over $3,500 to We Can to help children surviving from brain tumors, collect over 200 pairs of shoes to help the victims in Japan, and countless hours of community service to improve the lives of Manhattan Beach and our surrounding cities.

The MBYP Board of Directors is comprised of 15 individuals who put many volunteer hours into making all of our events possible. We would like to recognize and thank them for their great work and service over this past year:

Jake Dax, Jennifer Finberg, Tricia Flaherty, Meg Hall, Derek Loundenback, Chris Palmer, Kelly Parker, Jordan Peister, Michelle Sexton, Colin Walker, and Jeff Wilson.

We are also excited to announce Michelle Sexton of South Bay Brokers and Jordan Peister of Mintwich Designs as our incoming Co-Chairs for the 2011-2012 term for MBYP.  They bring their experience, energy and talents to take MBYP to the next level!!

Both MBYP board members and an MBYP sponsor were recently honored at the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce Installation Gala on June 3rd at the Manhattan Beach Country Club. 

Large Business of the Year was awarded to John Elway's Manhattan Beach Toyota. Toyota was the location of the recent MBYP Beer Festival and is also one of the group's Gold Sponsors. Their continued support of organizations and events around the community made them a very deserving recipient of this award.

Small Business of the Year was awarded to Mintwich Design. Owner, Jordan Peister, was the Marketing Chair of MBYP from 2010-2011 and is also the incoming Co-Chair of the group. Mintwich designs all of the flyers and marketing materials for MBYP, and creates the invitations and advertisements for the chamber's Women in Business Conference, amongst many other chamber contributions.

The Volunteer of the Year Award was given to Todd Anderson, a former MBYP Co-Chair, Marketing Chair and current chamber and MBYP board member. In addition to being on the MBYP board since the group's inception, Todd has been on the committee for the past three chamber golf tournaments and was the chair of the recent MBYP Beer Festival.

In all, it was a great night for MBYP!
