MBYP Beer Tasting on April 21

Mark Your Calendars
On Thursday, April 21st, MBYP will host its first ever beer tasting mixer. The event will run from 6-9pm and will be held in Manhattan Beach. Participants to date include:

The first 200 people in attendance will receive a souvenir pilsner glass courtesy of Michelle Sexton, Realtor at South Bay Brokers.
Tickets will be $25 for chamber members and $35 for all non-members. Registration includes beer tasting from all sponsors, hosted appetizers, lots of networking and live music.

Volunteer Event Recap

Senior Computer Training
 The MBYP Community Commitee and OASIS organized and held the 2nd Annual senior computer training day on Wed., February 9th. A local communty center in Manhattan Beach, Joslyn center was arranged for wifi so laptops could be brought in to train on. Several MBYP members volunteered 2 - 4 hours of their time to help seniors with various questions and how-to-do's with regards to computers. All the volunteers enjoyed sharing their time with our community seniors. Jan Buike head of OASIS, received many wonderful compliments and thank you's from our senior participants and stated how much the training time helped them and how much fun they had learning how to access facebook, put together excel spreadsheets, send e-mails through a group setting, and even upload pictures to their computer! We look forward to doing this again next year. |
Member Spotlight: Todd Anderson

The Manhattan Beach Young Professionals are proud to announce Todd Anderson as MBYP's Honorary Member of the Month for March. The group recognizes a Member of the Month that has contributed above and beyond the call of duty for the Manhattan Beach Young Professionals.
Todd Anderson is the past Co-Chair of the Manhattan Beach Young Professionals and has been instrumental in the group's phenomenal growth. As one of the founding members, he worked to make MPYP one of the largest young professional groups in Southern California and one of the most popular networking groups in the South Bay. Todd works at Apollo Interactive as an Account Executive specializing in insurance marketing and internet lead generation, and also handles business development for the Los Angeles office. Apollo Interactive is a full service interactive marketing agency with offices in El Segundo and Dallas that executes online media and internet marketing initiatives for Fortune 1000 clients like Anthem Blue Cross, Jack in the Box, Curves, Chuck E Cheese, California Pizza Kitchen, and more. Todd has been a resident of Manhattan Beach for the past five years, and has lived in the South Bay since his graduation from USC. Todd also sits on the Chamber of Commerce's Board of Directors and is a graduate of the Leadership Manhattan Beach Class of 2009. On the weekends he enjoys playing beach volleyball and following the USC football team. |
