WhoWHAT: The Gospel Preaching Society (GPS) is a national coalition of Christian benefactors investing in

and supporting the next generation of Young Preachers.

 

Who?WHO: You. The Academy of Preachers needs your help to shape the future of Young Preachers. The GPS

represents individuals and organizations across the country who commit to supporting Academy programs including the Young Preachers Leadership Team, Summer Preaching Camps and National Festival of Young Preachers.

 

How?HOW: Pledge $1,000 each year for five years to become a member of the GPS and help the Academy of Preachers inspire young people in their call to gospel preaching. Joining the GPS connects you to a host of National and Founding Partners as well as a broad network of donors who support the mission of the Academy.

 

AboutABOUT: The Academy of Preachers is a non-profit initiative whose goal is to identify, network, support, and inspire young people pursuing a call to gospel preaching. The work of the Academy grows out of the conviction that preaching is a socially-significant vocation worthy of the very best and brightest young people. Since 2009, more than 250 Young Preachers have participated in Academy of Preachers programs.

Dear Friends, 

 

With $7,250 in hand toward a goal of $140,000, we launch the 2011 Annual Fundraising Campaign. Your gifts by mail, online or in person are welcome and needed to support our mission to Identify, Network, Support and Inspire the next generation of Young Preachers. 

  

Today, we are proud to announce the Gospel Preaching Society, one of the various initiatives we will launch over the coming months to help us support our young people pursuing a call to Gospel Preaching.    

 

 In July, we will seek to raise $10,000 online via PayPal. Throughout the year, we are making appeals to foundations in at least four states. And of course, we are sitting with donors, face-to-face, and asking for their support.

 

Every dollar given to the Academy is used for programs for Young Preachers:  the National Festival of Young Preachers, Summer Preaching Camps, the Young Preachers Leadership Team, and an expanding network of local, regional and denominational Festivals of Young Preachers.

 

Our fundraising goal for 2011 will support the following initiatives:  

  • $30,000 to support our Young Preachers Leadership Team of 20 outstanding young adults.
  • $30,000 to fund our 2 Summer Preaching Camps.  
  • $25,000 to host our National Festival of Young Preachers.
  • $15,000 to sponsor eight Campus Festivals.
  •  $20,000 to provide travel and hotel scholarships.
  • $20,000 to print and publish the wide array of Academy promotional materials.
