Florida Comets traveled to Fort Lauderdale and performed well. The Florida Comets participated in the Holiday SlamFest, which was the first tournament that they had ever played in. SHOUT OUT THE ACCOLADES

Congratulations to IRCHS TV Production! This group of dedicated students recently entered a video contest for Lights! Camera! Save!...a campaign lead by the American Bankers Association Education Foundation in an effort to teach children and teens about the importance of saving money. In an effort to bring out the best in her students, Mrs. Dixon split her class into four teams. The teams worked together to create a video about saving money, in less than 2 minutes. The class then voted on what they felt was the "best" video to send off to competition. The winning team and overall regional winner consisted of students Alexis Barnard, Frank Hart and Justin Nigg. This group of students won a $200 Visa Gift Card and advancement to the National Competition where they are competing for $3000. Students plan to use their winnings to purchase equipment needed to enhance their weekly newscast, WOLF-TV. You can view their winning PSA and newscasts at YouTube Channel IRCHSTV. Congratulations to Mrs. Dixon's IRCHS TV Students! River Charter High School is looking for a couple of host families to take in
