DEE GIANNOTTI
IS A POSITIVE PERSON!
Dee Giannotti, was recognized by Youth Guidance in November as their 'Shining Star Volunteer.' Dee is currently serving as the chair of the Board of Directors. Though she has a full-time job she also manages to carve out the necessary time to be a mentor to a child in need. She has been instrumental in taking the lead in many tennis clinics, activities, committees, events and much more! Perhaps Barbara Schlitt Ford, the Executive Director for Youth Guidance put it best. She says that, "
Dee is such a giver. Even though she works a very demanding full time job in the financial arena, she finds time to do volunteer work not only with Youth Guidance but with the American Cancer Society, her Rotary Club, and her church as well. She is always complimentary and enthusiastic about the many projects our organization takes on." Dee is expanding her efforts further and will soon serve as one of Youth Guidance's teen group facilitators. Dee you are greatly appreciated and a pure joy to work! Thank you for all that you do and for consistently being so giving with your time. There is no doubt that you make a big difference and today we are thrilled to be able to spotlight you! THANK YOU! |

"I SEE THE MOON...THE MOON SEES ME"...
Ooops!...Where did it go?
Grab your sleeping bag and plan a family camp-out in your backyard on Monday, Dec. 20th. (The kids will be out of school, so let them stay up too!) The only total eclipse of the moon this year will begin shortly after midnight at 12:29 a.m. on Dec. 21st. But sky watchers will not notice any changes in the moon's appearance until about 45 minutes later when a slight shading occurs on the upper left portion. Lunar eclipses occur when the moon passes through a point in its orbit in which the Earth is directly between it and the Sun. Unlike an eclipse of the sun, a lunar eclipse presents no hazards to the observer. No precautions to protect the eyes are needed. The moon won't 'disappear' in another total eclipse until April of 2014.

. YES! THERE IS A SANTA CLAUS!
One by one my young granddaughters have reached the age where they no longer believe in Santa Claus. Although I love them with all my heart and soul, I must announce to the whole world that they are wrong! When one of my princesses leaned over to me and whispered in my ear, "Grandpa I know there is no Santa Claus, its' Mommy and Daddy", I said nothing, I just smiled, but it saddened me that her belief in Santa Claus had been lost. . Today I'm glad to say that I was both a witness of and a participant in the wonderful work of Santa Claus. Chris Elliott, of White Glove Moving and Storage in Vero Beach a man that the spirit of Santa Claus dwells within, called Champion Home Health Care. He called because a client of theirs, Linda Mastro, had a lift chair she no longer needed and they wanted to give it to someone that could use it. . Chris knew that Champion worked with elderly clients. Katie Britt and Natalie Buttenbock searched our patient roster to find someone that needed a lift chair. Arrangements were soon made with Chris to have the chair picked up at Linda's and delivered to our client at no charge. . No Santa.... nonsense. Santa Claus may not always be the guy in the red suite. He does however exist; he lives within all of us. The spirit of Santa Claus has been in the hearts of men and women of good will for centuries. Santa Claus is the essence of the spirit of giving and doing onto others as we like to have others to unto ourselves. . To my dear Grandchildren I say, Santa is as real as you or I, and Mommy and Daddy. Santa can do incredible things though our belief in him. To everyone, we at Champion Home Health Care say, "Never stop believing in Santa Clause; because believing in him allows Santa to work his magic though us". . Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight! |

WE HAVE MULTIPLE TIPS THIS WEEK! ENJOY!!
Scroll down to see all of the Holiday savings
we found for you this week!
SWITCH TO LED LIGHTS! Have an even greener tree this year by making the switch to LED lights. They also work well on your outdoor lighting display. They use about 90% less energy which is good for the earth as well as your power bill. Called LED lights because they use 'Light Emitting Diodes (We don't know what that means either!). There is no glass to break and because they're cool to the touch, they can decrease the chance of a home fire! You can find them at your local hardware or home supply store and they will last indefinitely.

Need an easy snack for a holiday party?
These meatballs are sure to be gone in no time!
Ingredients:
One bag of 32 Frozen Cooked Meatballs
One jar Grape Jelly
One jar Kraft Original Barbecue Sauce
Mix sauce and jelly together in a large pan on top of the stove, then add frozen meatballs. Since they are already cooked, they only need to heat through. Serve warm with toothpicks.
Note: You will probably find this recipe printed on the bag of meatballs. It may sound like a strange mixture, but it is delicious! You can substitue the jelly for a can or two of whole cranberry sauce, - a nice touch for the holidays.
