Marathon Man!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It is that time of year again and David, who works with John prepping and packing your fish, is off to run his 11th London Marathon tomorrow. This will be his 17th marathon to raise money for various charities and he has completed these all over the world.
We are both very proud of him and in total awe, particularly when he is that certain age which usually means you are no longer working or doing marathons!
This year he is ruuning for the Mutilple Sclerosis Society. Any fees which Fiona is given for talking to WI's and other groups about fish goes to the charity David is supporting. She is available to give talks about most aspects of fish and ccoking fish, so please do ask! |
Fish In a Box Sponsoring Tim Challinor - Para Olympic Hopeful For GB 2012
Latest News From Tim
 "this weekend I am in Cumbria, a four hour drive then about a 15 mile TT. This is a round of the National Series so worth getting up at 3am! I had an email from British Cycling today asking for volunteers for a series on Channel 4 about cyclists trying to get onto the para-olympic squad. I have put my name forward as I am very keen.
I have been to the bike shop and seen my new TT bike. State of the art, it even changes gear electronically. Hopefully it will be built in a weekor two. Enjoy the weather, isn't it great".
Tim
If anybody out there has any contacts that would assist Tim in realising his dream of reaching the Olympics in 2012 do please get in touch. He already has sponsorship for his cycles and allied equipment and Fish In A Box for a little of his nutritional needs! However at this level of competitive sport he needs specialist coaching, fitness assessment and monitoring, help with travel etc. etc. He is much too modest to ask himself so I am on his behalf ...............if you can help or know anybody who can please do get in touch. Just imagine if he reaches that rostrum!!
