Outstanding Volunteers Receive Chairman's Award |
Each year, the IPI Chair has the honor of recognizing the outstanding volunteers who selflessly serve IPI in numerous capacities to better the organization, the industry and other parking professionals. This year's honorees are Wanda Brown, assistant manger of parking and transportation at the University of California Davis Medical Center and Roamy Valera, vice president and regional manager at SP Plus Municipal Services.
Wanda always has the best interests of IPI members in mind, and has volunteered at all levels for IPI, including on the Advisory Committee, as co-chair of the Membership Commitee and serving as the hospital/medical center representative on the IPI Board of Directors. She has given countless hours to IPI while studying for her master's degree and supervising the addition of a new multi-million dollar parking garage.
Roamy Valera has served on countless IPI committees over the years. He's a longtime member of the IPI Advisory Council and currently serves on the Professional Development Committee and the CAPP Committee. He has spoken on behalf of the parking industry before government officials and key decision-makers and often at state and regional meetings across the country. He was also an integral part in launching IPI's On-Demand Learning program and helped plan IPI's first Latin Parking Conference.
Congratulations to Wanda and Roamy!
