IPI Partners with MAFSE, affiliated with AAA Mid-Atlantic, to Launch Parking Education Programs for Drivers |
Parking-related crashes account for 20 percent of automobile insurance claims. Too often drivers learn the rules of the road, but little about the rules of parking. That will soon change thanks to a new partnership between the International Parking Institute (IPI) and the Mid-Atlantic Foundation for Safety and Education (MAFSE), affiliated with AAA Mid-Atlantic, to collaborate on the development of parking education programs for drivers. IPI's Parking Matters and Safety and Security committees will jointly guide this exciting new initiative. Read the details of the partnership here.

In celebration of the new year we thought it would be fun to share an old article from a 1953 issue of The Rotarian. The article, titled "Should Cities Go Into the Parking Business," demonstrates that parking has always been an important and hotly debated subject. Read the interesting arguments made on both sides of the debate from your 1953 peers here.
Thanks to members Brett Munkel and Roamy Valera of Standard Parking for sharing this great find with everyone.
