apple and a hint of tarragon in this crisp, lively wine. Bright citrus and

stone fruit flavors saturate the palate, while delicate oak and a supple

acidity linger and lengthen the finish.  Elegant and polished, this wine is

an achievement in balance that results from blending grapes that were

cultivated in superior Chardonnay vineyards.  

2010 Piluna by Castello Monaci

100% Primitivo 

The 2010 Piluna has broad, ripe black fruit and spice aromas, with notes of pepper, toasty vanilla and Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, the wine has a robust, concentrated character, a firm structure, and small black fruit and licorice notes on the aftertaste.

 2010 Piano Maltese by Tenuta Rapitala

 Grillo 45% Catarratto 45% Chardonnay 10% 

Grillo and Cataratto grapes give this wine fresh Mediterranean scents and a savory, elegant flavor with a typical hint of bitter almonds. Piano Maltese is born at the heart of Tenuta Rapitalà, on gentle hills at 400 metres altitude. The 2010 Piano Maltese is yellow-gold in color with a rich fruit driven nose. On the palate it is rich yet fresh with apple, pear, herb and a touch of roasted nut.
