AVALON

  Avalon Napa Valley

"As one might expect, the 2007 is a slightly deeper wine...in addition to sweet creme de cassis, smoked herb, loamy soil, cedar and spice characteristics."

A silky and wonderful rich blend of Mourvèdre, Grenache, and Syrah. From the Massoni Grenache vineyard in Oakley the production of these meticulously farmed grapes in this wine is something achieved only with extraordinary time and skill. Big Break Grenache is harvested from older lower yielding dry-farmed vines. The Oakley Syrah experiences warm days and cool nights. And the Mourvedre, planted in sand soil, is dry-farmed.  Fermentation was carried out in stainless steel with select cultured yeasts at controlled temperatures. The grapes were pressed at dryness then settled for ten days and racked to 25% new French oak with a dark toast level for nine months.

 Lagaria Chardonnay

CHARDONNAY DELLE VENEZIE IGT:
A low-acid , pure, choice Chardonnay. Vivid straw yellow with green reflections, medium-bodied, crisp fruit, it is a characterful accompaniment to fish, veal, chicken, pasta and delicate cheeses.

Baltimore Sun says of this chardonnay " ...  well-balanced, subtle and unburdened by excessive or cheap-tasting oak. The flavor profile is what you expect from a good chardonnay-apples, lemon and nuts - with nothing intrusive. It could easily be mistaken for a wellmadewhite Burgundy from a good second-tier village. That's impressive. Serve with salmon or other firm-fleshed fish."

Mark West Pinot Noir

Enticing aromas of strawberry and raspberry with barrel notes of caramel, vanilla and baking spices. Oak aging rounds out the palate and gives the wine its body. The wine drinks of deep, concentrated raspberry, cherry pie with a touch of cola berry. The wine shows juicy fruit texture and subtle oak.

Con Sur SB 2009

A sparkly, and light and refreshing sauvignon Blanc that stands out for its freshness

delicious acidity. Flavors of green apples, and citrus fruit such as lime, lemon and grapefruit, grass, herbs, asparagus, mineral tones. This is a great aperitif wine or an excellent option to accompany light first courses, ideally green salads or seafood. It goes well with white meats, light sauces and vegetarian dishes. Cheese-wise, it's ideal for ripe cheddar, gruyere and soft cheeses in general.
