BJ markets her work as Benderz, which she describes as "fun, funky, colorful, one-of-a-kind fiber artworks" to wear as necklaces, bracelets, and adjustable wearable art. Each piece is painstakingly created of exciting batik fabrics covering bendable wire to reconfigure as the wearer desires. The result is exactly as she describes above.
BJ is inspired by the colors and textures of nature and her surroundings, which can be seen in every piece of work she creates. She also designs covered journals,
fabric bowls, and quilted jackets.
