Here are 8 different figure 8's for your hips:
  1. Horizontal going forward and around to the back
  2.  Horizontal going backward and around to the front
  3. Vertical, up to down (maya)
  4. Vertical, down to up (sway or taqsim)
  5. Single hip drawing 8 on the wall, down to up
  6. Single hip drawing 8 on the wall, up to down
  7. Hips facing forward, travel 8 path without twisting - forward
  8. Hips facing forward, travel 8 path without twisting - backward
 
Put on some music and play with these shapes!
  •  Pick two at random and see if you can connect them smoothly.
  • Pick one on a horizontal plane and one on a vertical plane and transition between them.
  • Can you find any more "8s" on your hips?
