| Providing You Tools To Make More Money! | JUNE 2010 |
|
|
| Greetings!
There's never been a more important time to start or solidify, strengthen and probably re-invent your retail sewing and/or vacuum business and I know just how you can do that.
The push is on to sign you up for the Ultimate Profit Explosion Boot Camp. You really need to be there this year. A lot of effort and planning goes into an event like this and I don't want you to miss it. I have tediously selected an agenda that I know you will benefit from. Past attendees requested more content and hands on classes and I listened. There will be two extended workshops that you will actually be working on your business.
There will be more group discussions between dealers, hot seats and Q&A's with the presenters. You will learn about video's on the Internet, how to balance your work and personal time, social media, store design, advertising, direct mail secrets, how to recruit and keep great employees and so much more.
I will be sharing with you systems and proven techniques throughout the three days that I have learned and perfected in my own stores that you can take home and use right away that are specific to our industry! I will be sharing one big secret thing that will revolutionize our industry and how we do business. We have been testing this new system for six months and will be premiering it on Wednesday morning at the Ultimate Explosion Boot Camp. Don't miss it!
You should be receiving a letter from me this week. Please take the time to read it and either fax in your registration to 1-866-937-8811 or click here to register now. Or click on the link below to learn more about it.
If you are just starting this is a great opportunity for you to meet people who have been there and done that. By listening to the presenters and the other attendees you will jump start you business by using their experience so you make fewer mistakes. There is no better place for you learn more about your business than at the boot camp. Wouldn't you rather leap frog your business ahead?
If you have been in business for a long time and know a whole lot about the business, there is always something that you can learn and share with others at the boot camp. I know sometimes I need to hear something numerous times before I actually implement it even if it is a great idea. Even if you have a successful business you are not being honest with yourself if you say you don't want to make more money. The only way you can make more money is to work on your business in a positive and supportive environment. The boot camp is just that.
Remember, it is not about how much you know or don't know, it is about how much you implement. If an idea in too complicated or you just don't do it, it has no value to you. The boot camp will help you implement more!
Sign up now so you don't miss out!

On the Lighter Side:
The secret life of cats
Ever wonder what your cat is thinking? Maybe it's something like this . · "I could have sworn I heard a can opener." · "What's with that irritating noise humans make with their mouths?" · "Why doesn't the government do something about dogs?" · "No, really, that's a can opener." · "How come they make tuna-flavored cat food and chicken-flavored cat food, but no mouse-flavored cat food?" · "This looks like a good spot for a nap." · "If there is a God, how can He allow neutering?" · "Without cats, humans would never have had any reason to invent sofas." · "I think I'll be finicky this time just to let them know who's boss." |

Tip of The Month
Did you do this exercise last month?
You are at a crossroad in your business whether you know it or like it or not. The truth of the matter is that the economy is probably not going to change drastically for a while. What that means to you is that you have to be profitable NOW in order to be able to be ready for the boom that will come in the future. There will continue to be a shake out of the weaker businesses. If you are profitable now, you can be one of the strong ones that will prosper when the turnaround comes.
So ..... how can you be profitable now? The best thing you can do is to monitor everything you do and ask a lot of questions. You should be able to make up a list of 10 new questions a day. There are many but here are a few:
- How does my store look to your customer?
- Who are my best customers?
- How can I get more of my best customers?
- What products are moving?
- What can I do to move the products that are not?
- How many sales did I lose because of XXXXX?
- Where do I really make the most of my profit?
- What type of advertising is not working and what is working?
- Who or what can help me improve on my business?
- What have I done before that has worked and I stopped doing?
- How can I use the "New Media" to grow my business?
We have to become more introspective and proactive in running our businesses. The status quo of sitting around and waiting for customers to come in are OVER!
Tip of the month: Register for the Ultimate Profit Explosion Boot Camp
now to make even more of an impact on your life. We will be working on asking the right questions. |

Bavarian Ice Cream Treat
Try this summer recipe for an unusual mix of sweet, salty, smooth, chewy, crunchy, cold, and warm sensations:
1 pint vanilla ice cream 1 cup flaked coconut (unsweetened is best) 1 cup salted peanuts, chopped Warm chocolate sauce
Slightly thaw ice cream and stir in coconut. Form into balls (about the size of a tennis ball), and roll in the peanuts, covering completely. Place in a flat dish or layer up in a plastic container, using wax paper to separate the layers. Put in the freezer for an hour or so to let the ice cream re-harden. Serve with warm chocolate sauce. Makes about nine.
The nice thing about this recipe is that you can change the ingredients to what you like. Change the ice cream, nuts, sauce to fit your taste. |

Healthy Living
Indoor tanning - the new addiction? The risks of developing cancer from prolonged exposure to UV rays from the sun and from tanning beds have been publicised for quite a few years now. Despite all of the warnings though, increasing numbers of people (and particularly adolescents and young adults) are taking to indoor tanning, in some cases because they believe it will improve their physical appearance, and in others because they find it relaxing. According to a new US study, not only are many becoming hooked on tanning beds, but those who use them most frequently were found to be more likely to suffer from anxiety or substance abuse problems. Exposure to UV light has been shown to release the 'feel good' chemicals known as endorphins, something which may well explain the reasons behind this recent trend. Such are the concerns of health experts that indoor tanning could be responsible for vastly increased incidences of skin cancer, that under 18s in the UK are to be banned from using sunbeds with effect from April 2011. In addition, if future studies draw the same links between indoor tanning and anxiety or substance abuse, many doctors are likely to recommend therapeutic treatment of the underlying disorders in order to reduce the ultimate risk of developing cancer. Although many believe that sunbeds are a safer option than exposure to the sun's rays, experts believe that they may, in fact, be even more dangerous, as well as promoting wrinkles and age spots. |

Why People Fail A Series of No B.S. Articles from Dan Kennedy
What Might Be Drawn Out, Not What More Can We Stuff In
There is an old joke about the Farm Bureau agent trying to convince the grizzled farmer to attend the upcoming educational conference being put on by the Bureau. The resistant farmer says: "Aw, no need. I ain't usin' half of what I already know." That, of course, is not the point. The academic cliché is: knowledge is power. This is a falsehood concocted by the earliest organizers of universities and promoters of higher education, and it may at least partly explain why there are so many frustrated, broke scholars and teachers, and why universities need donations ie. hand-outs from people who do figure out what produces wealth and power. The vast majority of business owners have more than enough knowledge about their core business and the core skills it requires, for its deliverable, be that fixing meals or fixing cars or fixing teeth. If they lack, it is know-how to package, present and promote that in a commercially viable, competitively successful manner, or to manage customers, or staff, or money. But even equipped with ample supply of all that knowledge, many starve. Because. It's not what you know; it's what you do. Reading, listening, exposing yourself to different and repetitive, reinforcing 'takes' on the same information and ideas, association with high-performers and expert coaches and advisors all helps, not so much by stuffing more and more and more knowledge into the putty between your ears, but in motivating you to take it out and put it to good use. Motivation by association vs. the costs of isolation, under-rated by most. While it is true that all successful people are ultimately self-motivated; meaning they decide and do, rather than being told and made to do; it is also true that they create environments for themselves that facilitate self-motivation. I like to ask myself what I know today that I didn't know yesterday, not so much because I need more knowledge - I'm like that farmer, I'm not using what I already know - but because that new information may motivate action on my part that liberates value stored in my entire knowledge base. People fail to advance for two reasons: static thinking and inaction. Conversely, financial growth tends to follow or at least occur in concert with personal growth. If you are not engaged in a deliberate program of personal growth, your efforts to grow your business or bank account are undermined. It's not just what you do in terms of things, and getting things done, but what you do about getting better and being more effective at the things you do. Building a better you. Not just better advertising, marketing, products and businesses.
The WHY PEOPLE FAIL articles are provided by Dan S. Kennedy, serial entrepreneur, from-scratch multi-millionaire, speaker, consultant, coach, author of 13 books including the No B.S. series (www.NoBSBooks.com), and editor of The No B.S. Marketing Letter.
