| Greetings!
How many times in one week do you get asked the question, "How are you doing?" From the coffee shop to your store, people always ask. I guess it is polite but how do you respond? It is so important that you keep your woes to yourself. Don't tell them you are struggling even if you are. People want to buy from winners. Stores that are successful. Stores that will be there in the future to help them. They don't care about you and your struggles. They care about their challenges and struggles and so should you. You may be able to provide a solution like a great vacuum, sewing machine or cleaning product. I always answer " I'm alive and living in America. It doesn't get better than that!" Let's not forget the blessings we have by winning the lottery of being born in the USA. You control your own destiny. No matter what your state or how bad it is, there are others that are having a tougher time than you. Even if you feel lousy or sales are bad, this may be one of those times that you have to "tell the truth" in advance! You will have a great day. Sales will be better. This can be your first step in coming out of a downturn. The more you say things are great and sales are good, the more you will believe it and it will happen. Norman Vincent Peale said "Change your thoughts, change your world". Whether you are thinking about your business or the economy, how you think about it will effect your outcome. Be happy. Be positive. Be upbeat. It is your choice and you are the only one who can decide. In this economy, we need to ....... Click here for the rest of the story. Now's the time to plan your holiday sales. Are you ready?
Always Be Selling,

Tip of the Month
Use video on your websites and emails. The more personal you can make it the better it is. Video tape your customers testimonials and use them also. If you can connect the testimonial to a person it will be more believable.
Claude Whitacre will be teaching a class on how to do this and much more at his all day workshop "How To Harness The Power Of The Internet And Technology To Send Your Retail Sales Through The Roof!", one day before the opening of the VDTA show in Vegas this year.
Have you ever lost a sale to an Internet dealer? Even after you demonstrated the machine, built the value, and gave them your best price? I mean...you have a local customer who will buy from an out of state Internet dealer. Do you know why that happens? Because more customers are being conditioned to "Get information in a brick and mortar store...and then shop online." Believe me, it's only going to get worse. Online shopping is more common than ever. Stop throwing your sales away. Fight Fire with Fire.
Here's a sample of what will be covered; 1) How to get your Web site built cheaply and quickly. 2) How to promote your Web site online and off line. 3) How to get listed in local search engines. 4) How to use video, audio, and motion to get the customer into your store to buy. 5) How to use e-mail, voice mail, and voice blasts to create an avalanche of customers 6) How to write the sales copy on your Web site to draw the buyers into your store. 7) The simplest and best layouts for your Web site. 8) How to use local Pay-Per-Click keywords to drive traffic to your site. 9) Samples of Home Pages that keep the viewer on your Web site. 10) And much, much more.
If you are in the vacuum and/or sewing business, make sure to come early for Claude's Seminar and stay for the whole show. This show is the only place that you can see all the latest in one place. We need to support the show in order for the manufactures to support the show. Make your reservations now.
