Inline quality control system guarantees top quality
|
 Together with Nordson, Winkler+Dünnebier has developed a new Inline Quality System (IQS) for the 202 RE, 627, and 102 RE envelope machines. The system works by identifying unacceptable quality during production runs. With this automated quality control you can offer your customers a quality product while increasing the efficiency of your machine at the same time.
With the IQS, potential problem areas are closely monitored at different inspection points in the machine:- Paper splices
- Window patch splices
- Incorrect window patch placement (missing or displaced window patch, turned-down window corners)
- Improper gluing of the side flaps (complete gumming, correct start and finish of the glue application)
- Improper gluing of the side flaps (gumming available)
Upon detection, the faulty envelopes are either directly removed through culling or marked with ink for easy identification and removal by the operator.
