Inner Excitment Through Self Expression 3/7 - 3/28
This is our non-representational show. Artist Andrew Wyeth, known for the realism in his art, aptly described abstract art as "inner excitement through self expression." Receiving of artwork for this show is March 2, 9am-4pm or the prior Saturday. Membership is not required to submit artwork. Different submission fees apply: $6 for members and $8 for non-members per piece. Sunday March 7, 2-4pm, is the opening reception. The show runs through March 28. |

| PIerre-Auguste Renoir and Claude Monet, by Kat Cop
March 14, 1-2pm
It is not uncommon for two friends, both artists, to find they so enjoy the inspiration and influence of one another's company that they take to working together. In so doing, the artists learn from each other, sometimes even begin to paint like each other. The same is true of the work of two earlier painters, Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Claude Monet. Come and learn more! |

I almost forgot to tell you an important announcement:
I have accepted a new position as Director of Development with YMCA Southcoast. I have valued the time I have been the Executive Director of the Falmouth Artists Guild. I have especially enjoyed working with Carolyn Partan and Judy Vantine. The Artists Guild is in a good place literally and figuratively, and will be a great place for a new fresh face! We will be working these next two weeks to ensure a smooth transition. My last day at the Art Center is March 12.
Please email me about any unfinished business to this same email. Even after I leave, there will be a person(s) who checks my email and responds. Please be patient with us during the search for a new Executive Director. The Board will be handling all help-wanted initiatives. Please direct any interested parties to keep checking the website.
Thank you for all your friendships!
