Take a Tour of Potomac Vegetable Farms!
Saturday, September 10th at 2pm
(5th in the Series)
Learn where your food comes from by touring a local farm! Potomac Vegetable Farms is located in Vienna and has been family-run since it started in the early 1960's. It was certified organic from 1991 to 2004, when they decided to be "ecoganic"-an organic farm without the third-party certification due to the expense and hassle. Take a one-hour tour of this great vegetable farm and learn more about the food you eat and how a small farm is thriving in today's urban society! RSVP to TheresaAMeehan@gmail.com. Fee: $10 at the door. Location: Meet at ReBuild Warehouse at 1:15 pm, 6625-B Iron Place Springfield, VA 22151, in order to carpool due to reduced parking at the farm.
