1) How did you become affiliated with the ReBuild Warehouse?
I've been a frequent customer at ReBuild since I first discovered it earlier this year. It's been a great resource for the materials that I've been using on maintenance and renovation projects for myself, friends and family. On one of my visits, I got the chance to meet Paul and Daryl and to learn more about their vision for the future of ReBuild. It's good stuff. It just makes sense on so many different levels for both the environment and the community. So, I started volunteering.
2) What is your current position at ReBuild and how long have you been with them?
I work the warehouse floor assisting customers. I became a ReBuild employee in October of this year.
3) How can customers get the most out of their visit to the ReBuild Warehouse?
Give yourself time to explore and always let us know what you're looking for. There's a lot to see in a 12,000 sq. ft. warehouse that's packed full of building materials and the inventory is changing daily. So, if you don't see what you're looking for, just ask. It may be tucked away in a corner, a new arrival in our loading bay or in route from a Deconstruction job. I think the folks who save the most money at ReBuild are always checking in, buying things for their current projects as well as keeping an eye out for what they'll need on their next one.
4) What do you see as ReBuild's biggest challenge over the next several years?
Spreading the word. We're very grateful to have NAPA Auto Parts as our next door neighbor. Not only are they nice guys, but everyday people "accidently" discover ReBuild Warehouse while shopping at NAPA. They are a large national company with a large national advertising budget. We are not. Shout from the hills "Great things are happening at ReBuild".
5) How would you encourage folks who might be interested in ReBuild to become involved?
Simplify your life...get rid of that clutter...get a Tax Deduction. Look around your house and I'll bet that you can find at least a half dozen things that you no longer need, yet are still totally useful. Grab that extra box of hardware, bundle of shingles, or perfectly good appliance leftover from your kitchen upgrade and donate it to ReBuild (How To Donate). If you have a lot of things to donate, we'll schedule our truck to pick them up for you.
