Hello Everyone,

November is a month to give thanks.  We have Thanksgiving Day and Veterans Day and we would like to dedicate this month, not only to thanking those who helped shape and defend our great country, but also those who are helping build a more environmentally sustainable community here in Northern Virginia by supporting the ReBuild Warehouse -- our valued customers!  We are so excited to announce that after only eight months in business, ReBuild officially registered its 1,000th sale with possibly double that number of customers visiting the warehouse!  Thank you!!  You have helped bring us to where we are today and to build the foundation for a stable, long-term operation!

To thank our customers for their constant support of the warehouse, ReBuild has designated November "Customer Appreciation Month".  During November for every purchase of $25.00 or more made in our warehouse, our customers will receive a $10.00 store credit coupon to be used any time during the month of December 2009.  Each November purchase will also automatically enter you in a drawing for a ReBuild Store Credit Prize of $250.00.  This store credit prize will be valid from January thru June of 2010 and can be used for any number of purchases.  The drawing will be held on Saturday, December 5th, at the warehouse.  We will randomly choose a customer that day to pull the winning store credit coupon.  Also on the 5th we will hold the dedication of our new "Community Corner".  The Community Corner will feature photos of completed customer projects, community events and announcemnts, volunteer information, local and small business contacts, and more.  Customer project photos also will be posted to the ReBuild website under Customer Creations and to our facebook fan page also under Customer Creations.

Green Tip

This month we found a really great article on GetRichSlowly.org that we thought was worth sharing.  Between being in a recession and with the winter months approaching, who doesn't want to save a little money and energy?  In this article "Saving Money and the Environment: Where Green and Frugal Meet", the author offers a few simple every day options for making a big difference in your pocket book and the environment.  Below is a brief introduction to the article, see the orginal here

Going "green" has a bit of a bad rap. As soon as marketers realized it was profitable to be green, suddenly all sorts of products flooded the marketplace with eco-friendly claims. It can be overwhelming. Is it really necessary to buy all this "stuff" to be green? Are these products really as green as they say they are? We're in a recession - I can't go into debt to save the planet!

The good news: At its most fundamental, being "green" is nothing new. It's actually built around a very old philosophy of consuming less, buying only what you need, using things until they're worn out, and wasting not. Unsurprisingly, frugality and green-living are closely tied. You don't have to buy expensive "green" products in order to be environmentally friendly. The real goal is to mind your consumption, and that's good for your wallet and the planet.
