Welcome all the new subscribers this month to The Kort Report. I hope you enjoy my newsletters. I always welcome feedback and input for future mailings.

I hope you all had nice holidays. I have big plans for 2011 and am excited to tell you a bit about them.

First I have changed the name of this newsletter to The Kort Report.

I now have a group practice and am going to be creating a clinic focusing on relationships, sexology and gender. In addition to writing, training and providing psychotherapy I hope to create a community of clients who wish to have better sexual and relational health.

I also plan to use my blog more regularly as well. I want to hear more from my readers and hear what you have to say.

I will be offering more teleclasses on Gay Affirmative Therapy, Sexual Addiction and Compulsivity and sexual fantasies and behaviors.

If you google Alyson or have been following the bad news, they are going through a difficult financial time right now and many titles are not being reprinted and or even published. I am currently exploring my options and considering another publishing house for my books. I will let you know when I have resolved this.

Showering with Men is a Privilege

Recently I posted on my Facebook page my anger at the men who are opposed to showering with openly gay men in the military. This came after reading an article on Alternet.org entitled,

"Homophobic Group Argues Gay Soldiers Should Shower Apart From Straight Soldiers".

I labeled these straight men as nothing more than scared, ignorant, homophobic and threatened. I regret having such a strong and narrow mindset now however I don't know that I am completely wrong and I do recognize that I was having an overreaction.

"Sex on the Download" is a reflection of our current culture of internet relationships where the growing societal influence of connecting in cyber relationships can create real time intimacy, but may also lead to compulsive sexual behaviors, porn addiction and compulsive infidelity.
