Join the Detroit Free Press on Monday, February 1, 2010 at 11 a.m. for a Web chat on sexual addiction with therapists Dennis Sugrue, Bloomfield Hills and Joe Kort, Royal Oak.

 The addiction model offers an extremely helpful behavioral management and cognitive path to
recovery. I also use other tools in helping someone with hypersexuality.
I prefer to think of those suffering with loss of control sexual behavior as having a sexual dependency disorder which can be more inclusive of other problems.
We will be examining whether sex can be an addiction or not during the web chat.
One thing is certain and that is excessive sexual behavior which interferes with the lives of many men and women does exist. How to treat it and what to do about it will be talked about today at 11AM EST.
