Congress is getting ready to vote on another $33 billion for this war. It's time for us to let them know that we want them to stand up for change in Afghanistan.

Senators Merkley and Wyden and Rep.DeFazio issued statements at a CALC press conference in December expressing concerns about President Obama's decision to send 30,000 additional troops to Afghanistan. However, actions speak louder then words so it's time for them to take decisive action by voting against the Supplemental Appropriation bill that would pay for the increase of American troops in Afghanistan.

The vote may happen later this week so please give them a call on Wednesday:

At the same time ask the Senators to support S. 3197. It requires the White House within 90 days of enactment to produce a timeline for the withdrawal of all US troops and contractors from Afghanistan. Thank Rep. DeFazio for co-sponsoring the House version, HR 5015.
