Visitors Guide, you become a Partner in Tourism. In 2009, Partners in Tourism participated in a number of exclusive
programs, available only to our Partners. These included our new Promoting
Partner Display, our Visitor Guide Delivery Service, the FAM Tour, newsletters,
brochure/menu distribution and more.
All Partners
in Tourism also have their own webpage on our official destination website. We are
also excited to announce the addition of an online booking service and
streaming video to our website, enhancing the experience for our online

as low as $195 for the entire year, you can participate in all of the free
services the Stevens Point Area Convention & Visitors Bureau offers. As the official destination marketing organization for Portage County, our purpose is to expand the
county's economy by attracting conventions, sporting events and leisure
travelers to provide economic and community development.

New Website Features - NOW LIVE!
 At the 2009 Stevens Point Area Convention & Visitors Bureau Annual Tourism Event in June, the CVB debuted the newest addition to the official destination website for Portage County Tourism. Now, directly from the homepage, a video clip player is available for visitors. This interactive way to see the area before visiting, is a great tool. To launch the video clip player, click the image or visit our website.
 Another added feature to the website is the online booking service, that is integrated in every page. The user-friendly interface allows visitors to check availability and pricing of our area lodging choices as well as make reservations. This will eliminate the need to call each individual property and hopefully simplify the process for all potential visitors.
An additional resource allows visitors to map the lodging partners. This feature will enable the user to see where each property is. Check out the map feature here.

Information in Action
In conjunction with the Stevens Point Area Innkeepers Association, the SPACVB will be holding a Visitor Intercept Survey on Saturday, June 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The survey will be completed during the East Bay Girls Soccer Classic, held at the Portage County Youth Soccer Complex.
This survey will allow our area to obtain detailed characteristics and demographic information about our visitors attending area sporting tournaments. There is still a need for additional volunteers to help facilitate the survey. Please contact Sara to volunteer.
