Dear AXICOM Clients, Colleagues and Friends,
Remember I mentioned that our theme for this year was to have FUN? We had a lot of fun giving our first webinar last month on Windows 7. Many clients participated online and of course, using new technology is always fun for us. And, we had fun distributing fresh cookies to those who gave us referral names in February. Thanks to those who participated!
We are highlighting one of our employees and a client in this newsletter. Also, we'll be hosting some informative events this month and next and we have a Publisher tip as well as a special offer on a Fujitsu Scan Snap so read on.
And, have some fun--wherever you are!

Employee Profile: Gary Wige, PC & Network Technician
|
Througho ut the year we will highlight our employees in our newsletters. Sometimes it's good to put a face to the voice on the phone! Last month we featured Richard Marder, Technical Services Manager at AXICOM. This month we're featuring Gary Wige, PC and Network Technician. Gary Wige joined the AXICOM team full-time in August of 2008. Prior to working at AXICOM, he worked as a manager at PC Club. As a PC and network technician, Gary has to juggle many different responsibilities from desktop issues to server issues. This past year, along with the other AXICOM techs, Gary has been attending Microsoft Windows 2008 certification training two evenings a week and he has acquired two new Microsoft certifications including the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure certification. If you've spoken with Gary then you'll know he's always good-humored and positive about any problems that need to be resolved. Gary is married with a 2 year old daughter, plays guitar and is a youth leader and Sunday School teacher at his church.

Product Feature: Fujitsu Scan Snap Top 5 Business Uses for a Scanner
|
I'm sorry but I'm addicted to my Fujitsu Scan Snap. It's not healthy, I know, but I can't help it! I use my Fujitsu Scan Snap almost every day. Here are the top ways I use it:
1. To send copies of statements, invoices, etc. to my bookkeeper, accountant, etc. (With account #s crossed out, of course!) 2. To send an article, newsletter or something printed to someone else easily. 3. To scan seminar and training notes so that they don't disappear into a pile or a folder never to be seen again. 4. To return forms to various vendors or others who require information and signatures. 5. To store confidential information digitally so that no hard copies need be filed.
And that's just for business uses! If you add personal uses, you can scan in your kids' special papers, family photos, and so much more.
SPECIAL OFFER for the Fujitsu Scan Snap S1500: $459.00 (Reg. $549.00)

Client Hobby Highlight
|
We are highlighting Jerry Becker of D&D Engineering this month! Jerry is a BBQ aficianado and we here at AXICOM are big fans of his BBQ and sauce. Below is part of Jerry's article, "Jerry's Slice Off the Grill".
"Let's talk
BBQ. You've got ribs, tri-tip, chicken,
fish and the grand daddy of all BBQ meat -- brisket. My favorite has to be beef ribs for the most
succulent of dining experiences. This is
a dish that is fairly easy to find at a restaurant, but for the home cook, it
is the greatest of challenges.
As I
mentioned, ribs are one of my favorite BBQ meats. Good beef ribs are available wherever a
butcher cuts meat. But great ribs, the
large meaty, tender, and delicious ones, are very rare. I like to apply a dry rub after the ribs are
cleaned. This is the first step in the
cooking process. After rubbing, they go
in the refrigerator for a few hours." Read more including names of Jerry's favorite BBQ places...If you have a hobby we can highlight, let us know!
