Dear Clients, colleagues and friends of AXICOM,

This month's enewsletter provides some visual details about AXICOM's 24x7 remote monitoring and management software, an invitation to AXICOM's second Lunch 'n Learn which will focus on mobile solutions, and tips to optimize Outlook.
AxiGuard:  What Kind of Monitoring Really Occurs?
Server Performance

By now, many of you have heard about AXICOM's basic 24x7 monitoring and management program that provides anti-virus, anti-spyware, patch updates, Internet cache and temporary file deletion and more on a daily basis.  And, all of our contract clients use AxiGuard.  AXICOM technicians check the AxiGuard console daily to see if there are any notifications and they also receive email alerts about problems on clients' desktops or servers. At the end of the month, each client receives an AxiGuard report about network performance.  The image above details a client's server performance in terms of CPU utilization, disk I/O, memory utilization, disk usage and page file swaps over a month's time.  Lines near the bottom are good.  Lines near the top are bad.  So, this is a good report!

Optimizing Outlook
Here are two fun things you can do with Outlook to use it effectively.  First, you can open your calendar, contacts or task list in separate windows so that you don't always have to use your Navigation Buttons.  Just right click on any of the Navigation Buttons and choose Open in a New Window.  Use Alt-Tab to navigate between windows.

Secondly, add a contact from an email message simply by going to the message, right-click on the sender's name and choose Add to Outlook Contacts.  See below for an example!
