Greetings!

Announcing the 2011-2012 SEASON (SIX performances).  We are trying something new this season by having our season shows on Thursdays.  Help keep the theatre alive by purchasing a season ticket - and if you can not attend every performance, you can always give your ticket to a friend or co-worker as a special treat for someone who may not normally attend the shows!

The HIPPEST Season Ever kicks off on September 29th with "Jazz in the Night" featuring Canada's hottest jazz combo, The Eric Allison Trio with Cheryl Fisher, the featured singer with the band.  She performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival with her own group in 2001, and was billed in their program as "one of the greatest female singers in the history of Canadian Jazz."

October 20th features the renowned organist Dennis James who always looks forward to performing in the Poncan.  Watch in amazement as he provides the music for the William C. Hart classic "Tumbleweeds".  Primarily an organist, he has presented live accompaniments for silent films, with piano, theatre organ, chamber ensemble and full symphony orchestras, both around the United States and internationally.

November 17th through the 27th, A Tuna Christmas, starring Phil Bandy and Dave May.  This is a performance you have to see to believe with our very own local talent!

March 1, 2012, Franc D'Ambrosio's "Hollywood" songs from the silver screen.  He is best known for his time as the "iron man of the mask" in the Phantom of the Opera.

April 19th, The Perfect Gentlemen in "A Night of Vaudeville".  This quartet has been entertaining audiences since 1998, from Los Angeles to London, and just about every place in between. Their unique brand of harmony and humor sets them apart from other vocal groups. While keeping the tradition of vaudeville alive, these four gentlemen have put together a carefully designed repertoire of music, unsurpassed in its ability to entertain all ages.

Have You Seen Me?
Old Auditorium Clock
How many of you recall this clock in the Poncan Theatre auditorium?  During the restoration in the early 1990's the clock was taken down but no one seems to know what happened to it. If you have any information about the clock, or any old artifacts from the theatre, let us know.  (note: this is actually a picture of a clock from a theatre in Texas that was recently closed after three generations in the same family.  We added Midwest Dairy to their picture to make it look more like the clock which was in the Poncan auditorium for many years.  Also note the date on their clock, 1926).
