FUN AT HOMEFINDERS
CB&I Over 75 donors and volunteers attended the 2009 Annual Meeting of MCUW.  The event was sponsored by The Woodlands Development Company and held at The Woodlands Home Finders Center.
Joe Constantino of Bentwater United Way Leadership Committee, a neighborhood group that raises funds and provides volunteers for Montgomery County United Way, won the 2009 "Volunteer of the Year" award for his untiring efforts to participate in MCUW's Days of Caring program and the Responding to Crisis Impact Council.  He and a group of Bentwater volunteers regularly donate their time and efforts to help area non-profits and individuals.  Using the slogan, Bentwater Cares, the Bentwater commnity adopted the Willis Head Start center last year donating and building new flower beds, benches, and book shelves.  They also provide volunteer readers on a regular basis.

CB&I, represented by Maribeth Duggins, Jan Sieving and Lucy Shanahan of CB&I, (pictured above),  won the Mitchell Energy and Development Heritage Award.  To win this award, a corporation must meet a number of criteria such as running a MCUW Employee campaign for more than 10 years, participating in MCUW Days of Caring for 2+ years and serving in the MCUW Strategic Investment process for 3+ years.

Anadarko won the 2009 Rising Star Award for having the largest percentage increase of Lone Star Leaders (those giving $1000 or more).

Outgoing Board Chair Tim Welbes was honored by incoming Board Chair Don Lehman and presented with a massive roll of spreadsheets for his analysis.
Two outgoing members of the board were thanked for their two consecutive three year terms:
