This one-hour web-based training sessions will feature AESF Foundation Technical Education Director, Frank Altmayer, and other industry experts. You only need a phone and internet access to participate.  Participants will call into the training session and access the internet to follow along with the presentation. Questions will be collected prior to the session as well as during the presentation. The forum will be an open opportunity to get your questions answered and learn from others.

BrightThe 2010 Bright Design Challenge has Begun
On January 12, NASF and the College for Creative Studies kicked off the 11th Annual Bright Design Challenge in Detroit.
 
This year's competition promises to be exciting and the best "Challenge" ever!  Fifteen students will participate in LOUD PIPES AND CHROME.  The "Challenge" to this year's participants is to design a 2015 Harley-Davidson concept motorcycle that captures the spirit of today's youth.
 

The key design influences include:
  • "Naked" air-cooled, V-Twin Engine
  •  No Radiator
  • "Naked" Exhaust
  •  Belt Driven

The designs can be customized according the ideas of each student and MUST INCLUDE chrome and other electroplated finishes.

Roy Metal Finishing (RMF), recently became one of the first companies in the US to be audited to the new ISO/TS 16949:2009 quality standard.  The ISO/TS-16949 Standard is an International Technical Specification that defines the quality system requirements for the design/development, production, installation, and servicing of automotive-related products.  It was written by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) in conjunction with the International Standardization Organization (ISO). The IATF consists of an international group of vehicle manufacturers and national trade associations.
