Our Family Legacy

Steve and John Hansmann Sr.

In 1962, brothers John & Ed Hansmann started building homes throughout Santa Cruz County.  John taught all five of his sons, Mike, Tom, Joe, Steve & Jim the trade.

Having learned the art of fine home building and the merits of quality construction from his father, Steve as a second generation builder opened his own construction company in 1979.  Now that art is being passed onto the third- generation, our son John Jr.

 Part of the legacy that Steve's father taught him is "honesty is always the best policy." This is our family legacy and it is fundamental to the way we conduct our custom home building and remodeling company.
